This guacamole will enchant your palate!
I could eat guacamole on a daily basis. There is not a single ripe avocado that is safe from me. Guacamole goes with anything. Anytime and anywhere.
I love to experiment. I love fusion, the blending of different cultures. Why not add a touch of the Middle East to this originally Mexican recipe? A touch of cumin has finally made me a guacaddict.
I`m lost. I need it almost every day. If you, too, want to feel this insatiable desire, try this take of mine on guacamole.
Serves 2-3 people:
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 small onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- the juice of ½ lime or lemon
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- some chili or cayenne
- a few capers
- 1/3 tsp cumin powder
- Salt and a lot of freshly ground pepper to taste
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro or basil
Cut the avocados in half and scrape the flesh into a bowl. Finely chop the onion and garlic and add it, along with the oil, the lime juice, the capers and the spices.
Mix everything with a fork and garnish the guacamole with plenty of fresh cilantro.
It goes really well with homemade tortillas. Yu can find the recipe in my recipes on page 5.
Bon appetit and don`t forget to be shiny when cooking!
